About this place

I arrived at the Haymarket Hotel to a warm welcome and a vivid burst of colour. The bold interior decor is what Firmdale Hotels properties are known for, and the Haymarket doesn’t disappoint.

Review

The hotel is the result of the efforts of successful husband and wife team Tim and Kit Kemp, with the latter having added her quirky design touches.
The airy and spacious guest rooms provide the ‘home away from home’ appeal for which many hotel chains strive. Every room is decorated differently
and with confident flair — ours had the unusual
pairing of lime green carpet and cerise pink walls,
but somehow it worked perfectly.
You could easily forget the property’s wonderful central situation, between Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square, because as soon as the bell hand delivers your bag, the Haymarket manages to wrap
you up in a blissful bubble.
This top-class boutique hotel caters mainly for business guests during the week, while attracting families at the weekend, especially to its star feature — the spectacular indoor swimming pool.
Located in the basement of the hotel, the pool allows you to float away under effective mood lighting in a relaxed space. But for those who are easily distracted, the hustle and bustle of busy Regent Street is only steps away.
Next morning, I greedily tucked into a delicious breakfast and reflected on my stay. From my first glance of the rustic lobby to the doorman’s cheerful farewell, I couldn’t have asked for more.
There are thousands of hotel rooms in London, but once you’ve found the right one, you will return again and again. Be warned: once you have sampled the delights of the Haymarket, you’ll find it impossible not to fall for its charm.

Road distances to London are measured from Trafalgar Square, where you can find a brass plaque marking the "centre of London" near the statue of Charles I.
