Arriving at the Sheraton Heathrow after
a busy day at work, I was ready to kick off my shoes and chill out,
so I was delighted with my Club Room offering access to a private
lounge, complete with comfy sofas, large plasma screens, internet
access and wine with nibbles.
I was sorted for the evening ahead.
Check-in was swift and efficient and I
was able to buy my bus ticket for the following day’s Hotel Hoppa,
allowing a few extra minutes of shut-eye in the morning.
After a few leisurely hours in the Club
Lounge, I headed back to my spacious bedroom, which was elegantly
decorated with dark furnishings and beige fabrics. My biggest worry
before an early flight is making sure I get enough sleep, but this
wasn’t an issue as I was out for the count as soon as my head hit
the pillow. Probably something to do with the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper
Beds, claimed to give guests the sweetest of dreams.
The following morning I took breakfast
in the lounge to avoid the bustle of the downstairs restaurant — an
option open to Club Room guests. A polite waitress hurried around
serving tea, coffee and juices, while I tucked into a continental
breakfast.
I hopped on the bus to the terminal
happy in the knowledge it would take only five minutes. Bliss.
