Ori Gersht: This Storm Is What We Call Progress (25 January 2012 - 29 April)
This Storm Is What We Call Progress is a significant new exhibition of work by the Israeli-born, London-based artist Ori Gersht and is being presented at IWM London in partnership with the commissioning gency Photoworks. The exhibition, opening at the start of IWM London’s Holocaust Memorial Day commemorations, is Gersht’s first major solo museum show in the UK.

Shaped by War: Photographs by Don McCullin (until 15 April) – Don McCullin is one of the most important photographers of our generation. For more than 50 years, his uncompromising black and white photographs have shaped our awareness and understanding of modern warfare.

War Story: Serving in Afghanistan (Until 30 November) – Since the First World War, IWM has collected people's stories of war and conflict and now, through the War Story project, we have been given unprecedented access to British service personnel currently serving in Afghanistan allowing us to record their first-hand experiences of the conflict for present and future generations.

To make way for St Pancras Station, a graveyard was demolished and 8,000 bodies removed. You can still see a pile of the old gravestones at St Pancras New Church by the Hardy Tree.
