Flying budget? There's no need to scrimp on luxury at this jetsetter hotel. By Jo Gardner

Review

Being able to use an airport lounge when you’re flying EasyJet is a relatively new concept that’s very welcome. I was particularly grateful of it at 3.45am on a very busy Saturday morning.
Leaving the chaos of the departure lounge behind via a set of sliding, glass doors, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who briefly explained the facilities. Costing £20 per visit, I didn’t expect much in terms of size or things on offer but was very pleasantly surprised.
New, modern and (dare I say it) funky, the Super Lounge has a travel spa offering a range of treatments from a 15-minute neck and shoulder massages to a the full works, a games room with a large pool table and several board games, a computer room with brand new macs, an indoor garden with stylish garden furniture and plants, a full bar service and a central area with large windows for watching planes take off and land. Guests can help themselves to a large buffet of food and drink – on my visit cereals, boiled eggs, cheeses, toast with spreads, juices, coffee, fruit, pastries and posh yoghurts.
The best part was being able to enjoy my breakfast while changing currency from the comfort of my seat – the lounge offering an exchange service at no extra charge.
Relaxed and fueled, I was ready for my flight.
