Head for Business

As a centre for business, London has been a global giant since the
printing press first opened on Fleet Street in 1702. With its historic
financial centre in the ‘Square Mile’ (The City), and the relatively
modern corporate hub of Docklands, the capital welcomes millions of business visitors every year. In fact, most of the city has morphed into offices and commercial property, and these days you’re as likely to be attending a meeting in Earl’s Court as you are the Square Mile. Because of this constant army of business people, the city has evolved its hotel, meeting venues and restaurants, and business visitors can enjoy some of the best facilities in the world. We take a compass around the city and give you the best ideas for a morning meeting, a business lunch and a business-friendly hotel, whether you’re visiting the north, east, south or west.
